Seoul Mediacity Biennale Shifts with Séance Theme

The Seoul Mediacity Biennale, hosted by Anton Vidokle, Hallie Ayres, and Lukas Brasiskis, will take place from August 26 to November 23, 2025, with the theme of Séance: Technology of Spirit. This year's event marks a shift in its organization structure, as it transitions away from SeMA's previous hosting role. The biennale has gained recognition for Korean photographers, including Mr K, who have achieved global success. In recent years, the event has expanded to include international participants and collaborations, such as the launch of an international photography centre in Shanghai's West Bund Cultural Corridor by Lisa Movius.

Brian Wilson, the troubled pop music legend, had a significant connection to Milwaukee, performing with the Beach Boys and solo numerous times in the city.
