WRJ Design's Poetic Nature Legacy Home Unveiled

WRJ Design's latest project, dubbed "Poetic Nature," is a stunning family legacy home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, that seamlessly blends modern architecture with an incredible blue-chip art collection and breathtaking natural surroundings. The 8,000 square foot residence was designed by WRJ Design co-owner Rush Jenkins, in collaboration with CLB Architects, OSM Construction, and landscape architect Bonny Hershberger of HDLA. The home's design is characterized by soothing neutrals and select pops of color, with a focus on craftsmanship and serenity. The interior features a range of artistic touches, including sculptures by Jedd Novatt, Frederik Molenschot, and Roberto Edwards, as well as a custom walnut-and-metal dining table inlaid with brass droplets. The home's design is rooted in the "Frank Lloyd Wright meets the West" style, with a focus on harmony with nature and a sense of understated luxury.

Brian Wilson Brings Beach Boys Magic to Milwaukee

Brian Wilson, the troubled pop music legend, had a significant connection to Milwaukee, performing with the Beach Boys and solo numerous times in the city. He made his first local concerts at the Miller High Life Theatre in 1964, which were described as "received with screams of girlish exuberance" by packed crowds. Wilson also performed at Summerfest in 1983 and again in 1987, and later became a semi-regular visitor to Milwaukee stages, including shows at the Pabst Theater in 1999 and the Riverside Theater in 2019.

Trump Cuts Arts Funding, Targets Smithsonian Museums

The White House has cancelled millions of dollars in federal humanities grants to arts and culture groups, following Trump's budget blueprint that proposes eliminating the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Trump has restricted funding to Smithsonian museums through executive orders and attempted to fire the director of the National Portrait Gallery. The Kennedy Center, a performing arts venue supported by government money and private donations, was criticized by Trump as "out of control" with "rampant political propaganda", including a "Marxist anti-police performance" and "lesbian-only Shakespeare".
