AI Governance Challenges Multiply Globally as Companies Like Armilla AI and Vectra AI Struggle to Address Threat Detection and Cybersecurity Risks

Published on 4.30.25

The increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about a new set of challenges for organizations worldwide. As AI becomes more pervasive in industries, the need for effective governance and risk management has become a pressing concern. AuditBoard's Chief Technology Officer Happy Wang notes that there is an urgent need for AI governance across various sectors. One key area of focus is threat detection, with companies like Armilla AI developing solutions to address concerns about AI-related issues. For instance, Armilla AI's product offers real-time threat detection capabilities that can prevent breaches and has gained a high level of reliance from organizations globally. The rise of AI corporate risks has led to an increase in lawsuits over the past five years, prompting the emergence of new insurance products to mitigate these risks. To address this issue, AuditBoard has launched an AI governance solution that helps organizations meet best practices outlined in frameworks like NIST's AI RMF. Vectra AI's platform uses its 35 patents in AI security to monitor and detect cyber attacks on customers' data centers, campuses, remote work environments, identities, cloud services, and IoT/OT systems. The technology is currently being piloted in Dataminr Pulse for Cyber Risk and will be expanded across its platform, including public sector and corporate security solutions.
