Perplexity AI, an artificial intelligence startup, is reportedly in talks with smartphone giants Samsung and Motorola to integrate its virtual assistant into their phones. This move would make Perplexity AI the default AI assistant on these devices, potentially replacing Google's Gemini.
Perplexity has already signed an agreement with Motorola and is in discussions with Samsung to make its technology available as a pre-installed feature on their devices. The integration of Perplexity AI will enable users to complete tasks by voice command, similar to Siri on iPhones and Gemini on Google Pixel smartphones.
Deutsche Telekom's parent company has also announced plans to develop an 'AI Phone' with the help of Perplexity technology, which will feature a virtual butler-like assistant called Perplexity.
