K-pop group aespa won seven awards at the 2024 Melon Music Awards, while Japanese duo Yoasobi was also scheduled to perform at the event. The ceremony will be hosted by Kakao Entertainment on November 30th at Incheon's Mohegan Inspire. This year's Melon Music Awards saw changes in its voting formula, with digital music performance now accounting for 60% of the score, followed by popular vote and expert evaluation. Additionally, only paid subscribers to the streaming platform will be able to purchase tickets for the event, aimed at blocking unauthorized ticket sales.
