Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular Draws Thousands

  The 51st Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular was held on July 4th, celebrating America's independence. The event drew hundreds of thousands of people to the Esplanade along the Charles River, where special guests Leslie Odom Jr., Bell Biv DeVoe, and Leann Rimes performed alongside the Boston Pops. Governor Maura Healey noted that Massachusetts is where the country's independence began 250 years ago, making it a particularly special celebration in Boston. The event was attended by people from all walks of life, including Jackson Scheele, who said it was cool to see so many people celebrating their freedom and values.
