Bukhara Biennial Revives City's Cultural Significance

The "Bukhara Biennial" art event has been commissioned by Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation (ACDF), to showcase over 70 local commissions in historic buildings such as madrasas and caravanserais. The event aims to revive Bukhara's cultural significance through creativity and dialogue, according to Umerova, who notes that the city has historically contributed to global exchange and knowledge sharing.
