The Manitoba Museum of Folk Culture (MMF) has unveiled the Our Grandmothers collection, a curated assortment of 142 cultural artifacts showcasing Métis identity, mobility, and fashion. Professor and artisan Gregory Scofield is behind the collection, which includes clothing, embroidery, and beadwork. The MMF made the announcement during its celebration on Wednesday morning, coinciding with the reopening of Portage and Main to pedestrian traffic.
