Comic-Con has grown from a low-key gathering to an annual event attracting 130,000 people, with this year's edition featuring legendary filmmaker Lucas, who will discuss his Lucas Museum of Narrative Art with Guillermo del Toro and Doug Chiang. The museum, set to open in Los Angeles next year, will showcase illustrated narratives and house the Lucas archive. Marvel Studios is skipping its annual presentation, but will premiere the pilot episode of "Alien: Earth" on July 27, while Ryan Gosling and directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will present their upcoming film "Project Hail Mary." The convention also promises to be a celebration of pop culture, with attendees expected to come dressed in elaborate costumes.
