Marmaris Castle Museum Showcases 'Woman from the Sea' Statue

  The "Woman from the Sea" bronze figure is part of a new exhibition at Marmaris Castle Museum as part of Türkiye's "102 Exhibitions in 102 Years" project. The exhibition, which opened to celebrate the country's 102nd anniversary, features 95 artifacts, including 93 previously unseen works. Fügen Karaman, from the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, aims to reconnect the public with Türkiye's rich cultural legacy by showcasing traditional Anatolian values in a contemporary light. The statue is housed in a newly renovated section of the museum, which has seen significant visitor growth, with 155,831 visitors in 2024 and 55,531 in the first half of 2025.
