Nvidia Complies with Biden's Export Restrictions on Chips

  Nvidia created custom chips for the Chinese market to comply with US export restrictions imposed during Joe Biden's presidency. The restrictions, aimed at preventing the sale of sensitive technology to China, have sparked a dispute among US security services. In April, US authorities informed Nvidia that it would need a special license to supply H20 chips used in artificial intelligence technologies to China, citing concerns over their use in supercomputers.
