Rare Uşak Carpet Returned to Ankara Museum

  A rare and intricately designed carpet from Uşak, Turkey, was voluntarily returned to the Ankara Museum of Foundation Works by Ionescu after being discovered in Suzan Bayraktaroğlu's book "Vakıf Halılar". The carpet, featuring over 1,000 knots, boasts a dark blue-ground design with stylized naturalist flowers and pastel tones. After restoration efforts, the piece has been preserved as part of Türkiye's cultural heritage, reflecting the aesthetic vision and craftsmanship of its time.
