Published on 7.8.25

Romania's National Museum of Romanian History has discovered artifacts from a 4th-3rd century BC Greco-Thracian-Macedonian era funerary mound through non-invasive scanning techniques and a multidisciplinary team of experts. The artifacts, which will be conserved and analyzed at the museum, are expected to provide new scientific knowledge about this ancient world. Preliminary results will be presented during the European Heritage Days event in September 2025, with future plans including virtual reconstructions and exploration of the tomb's access corridor, which stretches over 18 meters.
