Singapore Boosts Literacy with SG Culture Pass Initiative

  Singapore is promoting its literary scene through various initiatives. Assistant Professor Ann Ang suggests that more efforts are needed to display Singaporean literature in public places, citing the success of Poems on the MRT as a good example. The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth has announced the SG Culture Pass, which will provide $100 credits for eligible Singaporeans to purchase SingLit titles, including festival passes and ticketed programmes. While the initiative may boost readership, experts believe it is unlikely to make a significant impact without additional marketing efforts.
