Despite concerns about automation, the integration of industrial robots and AI has driven job growth, particularly in manufacturing processes. The World Bank projects a regional growth of 4.8% in 2024 and 4.4% in 2025, with China seeing a decline but other countries like Indonesia maintaining or surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
