Stability AI is embroiled in a lawsuit with Getty Images over allegations of photo theft, but the company claims to be developing a platform that would enable copyright holders to license their work to AI model developers. CEO Prem Akkaraju revealed plans for a Spotify-type system, where artists can voluntarily upload their content and receive payment when it's used for AI training, in an interview with the Financial Times.
