Ihor Poklad was a celebrated Ukrainian composer and conductor who received numerous prestigious awards, including being named a Hero of Ukraine and a Laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize. He is best known for his iconic songs such as "Kohana" and "Dva kryla". In August 2024, President Volodymyr Zelensky honored Poklad with the title of National Legend of Ukraine.
