Kimsuky Group Uses Deepfakes to Hack South Korea.

A North Korea-linked hacking group, believed to be sponsored by the North Korean government, has carried out a cyberattack on South Korean institutions using AI-generated deepfake images. The Kimsuky group attempted a spear-phishing attack on a military-related organisation in July, sending an email with malicious code disguised as correspondence about ID issuance for military-affiliated officials.
