Hiroshima Students' Art Honors Atomic Bomb Survivors

Motomachi High School in Hiroshima has been collaborating with hibakusha (atom bomb survivors) for nearly two decades to create artworks based on their testimonies. Recently, the school showcased 15 new paintings, including pieces depicting soldiers writhing in pain and a girl surrounded by flames. Hironaka, an atom bomb survivor, praised one of the paintings, saying it accurately captured her feelings at the time, describing it as "an unforgettable page of my life".
